Busy nurses in DC hospital get some puppy love
WASHINGTON– What do hardworking nurses want during National Nurses Week? MedStar Washington Medical facility Center discovered the response at the end of a leash.
“We thought exactly what better way to spread out some cheer than to bring the animal treatment to the nurses rather than simply the clients,” stated Kathy Nasman, nursing director of the hospital center’s System 2C.
“This is just a way for them to decompress throughout a busy and really stressful workday,” she added.For the first time, 3 therapy pets roamed the medical facility halls especially for the nurses on Thursday.Nurses and other staffers at MedStar Washington Hospital
the Golden Retriever and– most significant of all– Sully the Leonberger from the not-for-profit group BUDDY, which means People. Animals. Love.Nurses and other staffers crowded around the pooches to pet them, feed them deals with and get wet kisses.
