Lydia Wu joined BNY Mellon Investment Management in Hong Kong as institutional sales director, China, and Gigi Wang signed up with the firm in Shanghai as company advancement manager, China, according to a news release Thursday.
Both positions are brand-new, a BNY Mellon spokesperson confirmed in an email.The news release said Ms. Wu will focus on growing and reinforcing BNY Mellon Investment Management’s relationships with mainland and Hong Kong-based institutional investors.Ms. Wang will be responsible for the company’s “broader organisation development effort in the mainland,”the news release said.Both Ms. Wu and Ms. Wang will report to Jessie Zhang, the company’s head of institutional circulation, Greater China and Southeast Asia.Ms. Wu comes to BNY Mellon Investment Management from State Street Global Advisors, where she worked as vice president of China company advancement, the press release said.Ms. Wang formerly operated at Bosera Property Management as institutional organisation development director.Spokesmen at SSGA and Bosera couldn’t instantly be reached for comment.
