Sejpal. (Representational Image) The Mulund police have signed up a case after a CCTV cam tape-recorded a car running over 3 puppies on December 7. One of the young puppies was eliminated on the spot. Palka Sejpal, a 27-year-old local of Dreamland society, Mulund west, said, "It happened in between 8 am to 8.30 am. The automobile comes from one of our neighbours. Nevertheless, I am unsure who was driving it."
Sejpal promotes the roaming pets. "I take them to the doctor when they're ill, and likewise for vaccination and sterilisation. I feed them and take care of them," she said.A senior officer from the Mulund police headquarters said, "We have sent the examining officer to take the automobile and to explore whose car it is and who the chauffeur was."
The CCTV video shows the cars and truck reversing slowly into the lane and then running over the three pups gathered at a corner. "It's impossible that the motorist didn't see the dogs. After they ran over the pup, they didn't wait and slowly repelled," stated Sejpal.Sejpal called Nirali Koradia, an animal rights activist who emailed the complaint to the police."Nevertheless, it wasn't till I tweeted that the Mulund authorities really registered the FIR on December 13,"said Koradia.
