After his relationship with actress Amber Heard crashed back down to Earth — Elon Musk has moved on with Tyler Haney, the ultrahip founder and CEO of athletic-apparel startup Outdoor Voices.
Tesla and SpaceX founder Musk, 46, and the “Rum Diaries” actress split for the second time in late January, having reconciled for a short time.
Page Six first revealed they were dating in 2016 when they were spotted together at Miami hotel the Delano.
But now sources say billionaire Musk has just started dating 29-year-old Haney, a Forbes Under 30 star and Parsons School of Design graduate whose Austin, Texas-based company launched in 2013 and has since grown rapidly.
CNBC said Outdoor Voices recently raised $34 million in a Series C round, bringing its total funding to nearly $57 million.
Last year, former J.Crew CEO Mickey Drexler was named chairman of the company board. Haney, a former college track star, is a media darling thanks to her “human, not superhuman” approach to fitness apparel, her persistence in taking on the likes of Lululemon and Nike, and her healthy, all-American blond looks.
Haney and Outdoor Voices were featured in Vogue in January, and she has been profiled in publications from Entrepreneur.com to Fashionista and Architectural Digest.
A source told us of Haney and Musk, “They have been dating for a few weeks.”
It is not clear how they met, but Musk made a surprise appearance in Austin at SXSW in March, where he talked about Mars, AI threats and self-driving cars, and was also spotted hitting the party scene.
Haney had been dating successful Austin restaurateur Larry McGuire, whom she met in New York in 2009.
He introduced her to the city, and she later moved Outdoor Voices from New York to Austin.
The pair appeared in a 2016 WSJ Magazine feature as “the couple who is redefining [Austin’s] success.”
A rep for Musk says they are not dating. Haney told Page Six, “We are friends but definitely not dating.”
